Different Team Levels

For most age ranges, we offer 3 different levels of club volleyball teams.

These levels are Blue (Local), White (Regional), Red (National).

Each of these levels has a different requirement for time, travel, money, and commitment. During registration, please make sure that you select the team level or levels that best suit your family and athlete.

*Tx Evolution VBC reserves the right to change the number of levels offered per age group. This includes eliminating a level for the season or adding an additional level for that age range. Much of this is dependent on number of athletes and player skill.

Red Teams - National Level

National teams will travel in-state and out of state (optional for 14 and under teams), as well as compete in local tournaments. This is the highest commitment of teams offered. Practices are twice a week for 2 hours.

The expectation is for players to place priority on club tournaments and practices.

White Teams - Regional Level

Regional teams will compete in the Houston Area and 1 travel tournament within a 100-mile radius. They will end the season with a 2-day regional tournament at the G.R. Brown Convention.

This is a great way to learn the game while playing competitively, but still maintaining a lower tournament commitment level. Players are able to participate in other sports and organizations while playing on a regional team, although tournament play time is affected when missing practices regularly. Practices are twice a week for 2 hours.

Blue Teams - Local Level

Local teams will compete in a shorter season in the Houston area only. This is a great way to learn the game while playing competitively but maintaining the lowest commitment le of teams offered.. Players are able to participate in other sports and organizations, although tournament play time is affected when missing practices regularly. Practices are twice a week.
